Risk-Taker

Don’t get it twisted

Don’t be mistaken.

There was an altar call.

I said I’d give my all.

So gain comes with pain,

Great things in challenges we make –

Sure there’s mistakes we made,

Won’t back down cause this I can take.

They say fortune favours the bold.

God helps those who help their own souls.

But the greater the stakes, the farther you fall

There’s a difference ‘tween none and all.

If there ain’t no pain, are you in the game?

You have to risk failure if you want the fame.

Sometimes you have to dive in the deep end.

Charge into the firestorm, raise up a shaking hand.

Don’t get it twisted, don’t be mistaken.

I like to play it safe, but to win I’ve got to be a risk-taker.
