All This Time

After all this time, and that’s all you can say?

Guess it was always going to end this way.

Just wish I could say it was okay.

All this time, trying my best

But I should’ve known it’d never impress

Your royal  stuck-up Highness.

All this time and it’s like a waste

So many happy memories with a bitter aftertaste.

Seal them and bury them six-foot in a lead case.

So long, hoping against all

Watching as the dream tower falls

And the mighty men roar.

All this time – what did I do wrong?

What did I, to deserve a heartbreak song?

But it’s okay, because I’m still marching on.
